Addiction in America & Colorado: A Growing Crisis

If you suffer from addiction or know someone who does, you understand how debilitating this disease can be.

Approximately 48.5 million Americans battled substance abuse in the past year, according to the  American Addiction Centers website.

Teenagers and people with mental health disorders are more likely to be at risk for drug or substance abuse addictions.

New Addiction Treatment Center Coming to Northern Colorado

Now, a new facility is opening in Northern Colorado that is attempting to help out people in need of this help.

160-Bed Recovery Center to Open in Southeast Fort Collins

Later this year, a 160-bed addiction treatment center will open up on the southeast side of Fort Collins, according to reports.

It’s taking the place of the former Center at Rockcreek, a skilled nursing facility located at 4880 Ziegler Road.

In a report from Biz Week, the building was going through a $30.4M foreclosure. Back in April a lender “initiated foreclosure proceedings against the property.”

They are in the process of transforming into a place to help people dealing with addiction. Avenues Recovery Center will open up to patients this year.

When Will Avenues Recovery Center Open?

Reports claim that they will start accepting clients on December 1st, 2025.
